K. L. Cook was building worlds and writing characters long before she knew what it meant to tell a story. Inspired by classic authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, she is passionate about weaving meaningful, colorful, entertaining tales.

She lives in Indiana with her husband and three children and hopes her work will delight and provoke thought in the minds of her readers.

The Marks of Ithae is a planned pentalogy — a science-fantasy saga with a dystopian twist. Three volumes have been completed; two remain in transit.
