Lorret

Most lorrets within Paden City are small creatures that have been bred to be companions, stemming from four species that were originally introduced into the City upon its founding. Both long and short haired lorrets are commonly found in homes and as feral scavengers on Cloud District streets. Regardless of breeding, lorrets possess an elongated body supported by four clawed paws. The hind legs are stronger than the fore legs, offering lorrets the ability to leap tall heights with ease. They have large, round eyes, sharp teeth, and long tails. Lorrets possess an innate compulsion to hunt, making them excellent assistants to control pest populations.

A large, wild species of lorret inhabits the Flatlands between R'honas and Paden City. This species bears proportionately much larger teeth and paws than the domesticated species. On its hind legs, this variant of deadly lorret would exceed the height of most fully grown folk. However, due to its long and somewhat flexible spine, such a posture is physically impossible.
